Dr Noel Murray is Dean of Business at Munster Technological University (MTU). With more than 20 years of professional experience spanning industry, research, teaching, and senior leadership in higher education, he has developed a strong track record in organisational leadership, academic innovation, research development, and stakeholder engagement.

He holds a Bachelor of Business, a Master of Business (Marketing), and a PhD in Strategic Management, together with postgraduate qualifications in Leadership, People & Culture, and Coaching & Mentoring. Before entering academia, he held management roles in the private sector, experience that continues to inform his commitment to industry-relevant education, graduate employability, and enterprise engagement.
Throughout his academic career, Noel has led major curriculum development, research, and strategic initiatives, supporting the growth of innovative programmes across business, sustainability, hospitality, food systems, and lifelong learning. He has secured significant external funding from national and European sources and has contributed to the development of impactful research partnerships focused on sustainability, innovation, and regional development.

An active researcher and doctoral supervisor, Dr Murray has published in internationally recognised journals, including Tourism Management, Industrial Marketing Management and the Journal of Marketing Management.
