The Rubicon and Tom Creane Centres provide important support for entrepreneurship and enterprise education. They give Faculty of Business students and staff access to incubation space, mentoring, industry networks and enterprise development supports. These facilities enable the integration of live venture creation, innovation projects and applied learning across Faculty programmes.
Innovation
The Faculty also benefits from collaboration with the Nimbus Centre, which provides expertise in virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies. This collaboration creates opportunities to embed emerging technologies into teaching, applied research and industry engagement, supporting experiential learning, digital transformation and future-focused curriculum development.
Learning Space
HIVE, located on the MTU Bishopstown campus, demonstrates the role of informal and collaborative learning environments in supporting meaningful learning. It is a flexible, discipline-specific learning space co-created by staff, students and industry partners, reflecting a people-centred, evidence-based design approach.
